Oh, how the deceiver has a heyday stirring things up between Christian brothers and sisters. How the deceiver glories when a minister falls from grace. How the demons of hell celebrate when their trickery and deception convinces a soul that God does not exist. James tells us, “Don’t be deceived.” We cannot look to men’s wisdom to save us. We cannot depend upon the media or even those who stand in pulpits as our only sources of truth. We must explore God’s Word for ourselves and seek HIS ultimate truth. Culture changes. Societal “norms” morph. But God’s Word does not change. It is our only stability in an ever-shifting world. Before accepting society’s proclamations, check those statements against the Bible. If we stay true to His Word, we will not be deceived.
