When we talk about people “in the flesh,” we’re describing those who have no relationship with God through Jesus Christ. And we’re covering a lot of territory, from people who live upright, moral, basically good lives to those who seem to have no conscience or concern for other living beings. We tend to classify people along different levels from good to bad to awful, but God sees lost or found. Anyone, no matter how he lives, is lost if he hasn’t accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. And no one, no matter how benevolent or loving, can please God if he’s still separated from God. We please God first by receiving His Son. Then we can call Him Father. Once we’re His, the things we do and say—from the tiniest act of compassion or the simplest words spoken for His sake— please Him. Lost or found… How does God see you?
