There is absolutely no way people could perfectly follow the law. We were all condemned. So God took mercy on us. He sent Jesus, whose sacrifice on the cross introduced grace into the world. Grace is greater than the law. Grace is greater than any sin. A simple, sincere, repentant plea—God, I’m a sinner; Jesus, be my Redeemer—washes away every dark blot from our soul and seals us for eternity. Of course, until the day we go Home, we’re still stuck in a sinful world. Which means we will face temptations. We will stumble and fall. But we can never fall so far that God’s grace can’t reach us again. I once was lost, but now I’m found; His amazing grace has set me free.
