Really? JESUS didn’t know Who He was? How ludicrous. Those Pharisees came right out and called Jesus a liar. Shocking, isn’t it? Unfortunately, the Pharisees aren’t the only ones who call Jesus a liar. Of course, some don’t do it in so many words, but the meaning is the same. We call Jesus a liar when we say He was a good man but not God’s only Son. Or say the Bible is outdated and isn’t applicable today. Or proclaim God is love (He is! but He’s also just) and therefore everyone is safe from condemnation. The problem is, when we make those kinds of claims, we’re relying on human reasoning. The Bible says “the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight (I Cor. 3:19).” Why should we, the created, try to correct the Creator? The Bible is very clear: there is no way to the Father except through the Son. Those who believe in the Son will show their belief by their fruit, and they will walk in the Light.
