I love this for two reasons. The people listening to Paul GOT IT. Their hearts heard and responded. They understood the message of salvation, they believed the message, and they lived the truth of its power. I also love that Paul, who had religiously (no pun intended) adhered to the teachings of the Jewish Sanhedrin didn’t limit himself to one people group even though it would have been easy to stay in his “comfort zone.” He knew that salvation was available to ALL who chose to believe, so he delivered this life-changing message to Jews and non-Jews alike. Stepping outside our comfort zone is, well, uncomfortable. But I reckon if Jesus endured the cross for me, I can endure a little emotional discomfort for Him.
