Ah, clouds…I’ve always been fascinated by clouds. I feel God’s majesty and creative presence deep in my soul when I gaze at a beautiful sky. (I’m sure I’ve bothered the neighbors a time or two by singing praise songs while admiring the morning or evening sky.) There is no one like our God. The writer of Psalm 32, David, had witnessed God’s power and goodness in his life, and he couldn’t keep silent about it. This verse almost reads like a vow of commitment to perform a physical act that reflects an inner devotion. Isn’t that the way it should be? For us to be so overwhelmed by God’s presence that His praise automatically flows from our lips? When we bless the LORD, we’re giving honor to Him for who He is and all He does. He might not always do things the way *I* prefer, but I have learned through life’s experiences that He knows best. He always acts in my best interest. And that is why His praise will always be on my lips.
