My mom used to tease there was nothing certain except death and taxes. Of course, she knew a better certainty. She fully counted on the certainty of God’s presence in her life and the guidance of His Word. The One who was in place before the world began, the One who set this world in motion, is the One we can look to for everything we need to navigate life. When we firmly fix His Word in our hearts, we’re less likely to make decisions that lead to unpleasant consequences. He is forever; thus His Word is forever. We can trust it to lead us today and all of our tomorrows.
