Jesus came to be the Light that leads us out of darkness. God, as our Creator, knows we cannot have peace or true contentment when we are separated from Him. The darkness separates us from having a relationship with Him. So He sent Jesus as our Rescuer and Redeemer. Those who believe in Jesus—who believe He is the Son of God born to a virgin, who lived a sinless life, was crucified, was buried, and rose again—are set free from the chains of darkness. They find themselves in right fellowship with God the Father. They walk in the LIGHT.
