The world needs to see

It’s easy to become weary, isn’t it? Galatians 6:9 advises not to become weary in doing good, but it’s one of those things that’s a lot easier to say than do. Especially when we feel under-appreciated, ignored, or taken advantage of. But there’s a way for us to get past the weariness: by fervently reminding ourselves that we are serving our Lord. Think of what Jesus endured for us. We know He grew weary at times. He had to get off by Himself, spend time in the Father’s presence, and refresh Himself. But He didn’t stay off by Himself. He always returned to the needy masses who hungered for the hope He offered. If you’re feeling weary, it’s okay to rest a bit. Especially if you rest in God’s presence—reading His word, singing praises to Him, speaking to Him in prayer, or basking in His glorious nature. These things will bolster your spirit and restore your fervency. Remember what Colossians 3:23-24 remind us: whatever we do, do it heartily for the Lord. When we serve the Lord, we receive blessings beyond anything this world can give. Be diligent! Be fervent! The world needs to see our servant heart displayed.
