You’ve heard it said ’tis better to give than to receive. There’s a lot of truth to the saying. I’m sure you can recall a time you found the perfect gift for someone and it gave you tremendous joy to offer it to them. God experiences tremendous joy when one of His children surrenders his heart to Him. For the giver, there is no greater joy than entrusting yourself into His keeping. He knows your soul intimately because He is your Creator. People who are constantly seeking happiness in money or new gadgets or new adventures never seem to keep hold of happiness. But HE is our permanent Source of joy. If you’re feeling dissatisfied, talk to your Creator. Let Him fill all the empty places in your soul.
