It’s so sorrowful when one who has proclaimed Christianity is caught in illegal or illicit dealings. Evil in any form has no place in a Christian’s life. Temptations abound and, unfortunately, sinning is easy. A true Christian cannot be comfortable while sinning, though. Sin grieves the Holy Spirit, and He’ll prick our conscience if we knowingly walk into sinful situations. We who are part of the Body of Christ have a true obligation to lift each other up in prayer, asking God to help us keep our armor in place and resist the devil’s temptations. We will occasionally fall—that’s part of being human—but we shouldn’t consistently fall (especially into the same sin pit) if we have the Holy Spirit within us. This world needs to see the difference Jesus makes in a person’s life. Let’s strive to be the spring bringing sweet water. Parched souls are searching for what we already possess.
