We can’t expect the world to live as Jesus instructs. The lost march to a different drum…their own. Often those who resist accepting Christ do so because they don’t like being told something they’re doing is wrong. When we try to share Jesus’s instructions, some are quick to say, “Who are YOU to tell me what to do?” But when we present truths from God’s Word, it isn’t us giving the instruction—these are instructions from God, the Creator who knows better than anyone the way we should live. After all, He crafted us! Does the created know better than the Creator? (That’s a rhetorical question.) The next time you share the truth in love with someone and receive a snub, remember: they aren’t rejecting you, they’re rejecting the One who saved you. Instead of being angry or resentful or defensive, be heartbroken. And continue to pray for the lost to see the truth before it’s too late.
