Did you notice that I shared verses from Psalm 86 in reverse? Yet they seemed to follow each other well, didn’t they? The Bible amazes me with its wisdom and application…even in reverse! There are lots of gods and lots of people who bow to false gods. But only One is worthy of honor and reverence—the one true God, the Creator of heaven and earth and everything in it. The One who loves us so much He sent His own Son as the atonement for our sin so we can enter into a relationship with Him. Every other god demands sacrifices from his followers; God gave a sacrifice for us. As Michael Smith wrote, “There is none like You. No one else can touch my heart like You do. I could search for all eternity long and find There is none like You.” I’m so glad I know Him personally. Do you?

Hymn day: “We Shall Not Be Moved”

Boatner heard many spirituals from his father, an itinerant Methodist minister,…
