All roads lead to God.
Follow your own heart.
You can’t please everyone, so please yourself.
There is no right or wrong, only your interpretation of it.
These are all comments I’ve seen on social media. On the surface, they seem encouraging, but are they really? God’s Word, inspired and delivered by our Creator, is a much better source to find deep down joy and satisfaction in life. Speaking a misguided “truth” only serves to push people away from the One and Only Truth. How does God instruct us concerning each of those statements?
All roads lead to God… John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Follow your own heart… Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding.
You can’t please everyone, so please yourself… Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
There is no right or wrong, only your interpretation of it… Isaiah 5:21 Woe to those who are wise in their own opinion and clever in their own sight.
There really is only one standard by which to live: God’s Word. If we seek to honor it, we honor Him, and we find our greatest peace.
