All of us like accolades, am I right? Who doesn’t want a pat on the back for a job well done, a bonus for going over and above at work, a trophy for coming in first? We like our “prizes.” But there is no prize on earth that will compare to the honor that comes from following Jesus. Imagine stepping over heaven’s threshold and hearing God say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” We serve Him not because we earn our way to heaven through works, but because we love Him and want to please Him. He died for us. Let us live for Him.
