In God’s mercy, He sent Jesus Christ to earth to take the penalty of sin for all humanity. We can’t ever be good enough for God. We can’t buy salvation, earn it through good works, or talk our way into heaven. Salvation is offered as a free gift by God who, in His great mercy, knows we cannot save ourselves. If it depended on us, none of us would be qualified to stand in His presence. But, thanks to His redemptive grace, we can approach Him in confidence that we are His beloved children. Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me!
