John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word…” From the very beginning, the Word was in place. The Word was, it is, and it will always be. Thus when things around us are changing, we can look to the Word for our security. When arguments ensue about right and wrong, we can look to the Word for discernment. When we’re lost or lonely, the Word provides comfort. Whatever we need, it’s found in His Word. There is nothing else that lasts from the very beginning of time to the farthest reach of eternity except the Word. Why should I look to anything else?
