There have been more times than I can count when I turned to God’s Word in search of comfort, peace, wisdom, encouragement, assurance, or discernment. When I open His Word and seek it, I find security and stability. There is nothing in this world that will last forever. But His Word never changes. It never fails. It never goes out of style. It never fades. This is why we take delight in it. Whatever we need, whenever we need it no matter what life stage or situation in which we find ourselves, we can depend on Him and His Word to guide us. Life’s afflictions come and go; God’s Word—His instruction—stands firm forever. Its truths are our security in an ever-changing world.
