Even those with a strong faith can suffer moments of doubt or discouragement. That’s inevitable, because we’re human. Whenever I start letting myself wonder if He’s really there, all I have to do is open the Bible. I have so many encouraging, filled-with-promise scriptures underlined, such as Isaiah 43:1-3. He has summoned me by name! I need never fear the storms of life because He has control of the waters and fires. HE is my Lord, my God, my Savior. I love the old hymn, “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness…” Jesus did all that was needed for me to have a relationship with Father-God. I’m His child. That is the most hope-filled position anyone can hold.
