Zephaniah was still looking ahead to a glorious day when God would bless His followers. All fear is gone! The instructed, “do not let your hands grow weak,” paints a unique picture. But there was no reason to give up in despair! Their security was guaranteed by the LORD Himself. Remember yesterday’s verse? In part, it said “the LORD is among you.” With Him at our side, there’s no need for despair. As the final verse in yesterday’s hymn proclaimed, God never forsakes His own.
