There’s a gross misconception that believing there is a God is enough. That belief is not scriptural. In fact, James tells us straight out that even demons—God’s enemies!—believe…and they shudder at what they know about Him and His power. But they don’t follow Him. They don’t worship Him. They don’t have a relationship with Him. Knowing OF God is not enough; we must come to Him through His Son. Jesus is the Way to the Father. Unless we know Jesus personally, we cannot call God Father. Believing He exists won’t save us; believing in His Son will.
