This is one of my favorite verses. God supplies my need, not “out of” but “according to” His riches. When I give, my supply is diminished; when God gives, the supply is never diminished. There is always more for someone else. God bountifully blesses us with supply appropriate to His Son, His glory, His riches, and His purposes. Because God gives, He expects us to give with generosity and joy. This promise is given to those who honor God by giving all they have…their finances, their abilities, their lives…to His service and the furtherance of His kingdom.
