Two hundred fifty billion dollars. That’s how much money was spent on anti-aging products in 2016. People do whatever they can to hold onto youth. But the thing is, eventually, we all come to the end of our lives.
Jesus’ friend Lazarus had come to the end of his life. Lazarus’ sister, Martha, deeply mourned, and Jesus comforted her with the message that her brother would rise again. Then He went on to remind her that she and her brother would live eternally. Of course, Jesus didn’t mean that we won’t face physical death. Our bodies are made to break down. Unless He returns, death is inevitable. BUT for those who believe in Him, a better life—a more alive life than we can know here—awaits us. Can you imagine living free of pain, of sadness, of remorse, of hardship? Thank the Lord, that’s the life waiting for me when I leave this earthly body behind. His death and resurrection secured my life for eternity. Yes, I believe!
