These men listened to Peter outline the Scriptures, reciting the prophecies about Jesus that had come to pass. They heard his bold statements of how they killed an innocent Man. Their hearts were pierced, and they asked what they could do to make things right. And Peter told them, “Repent.” Repentance is turning away from sin and turning toward Jesus, the One who saves. The moment one truly believes that Jesus is the Son of God who went to the cross for man’s sins and who rose again, conquering death forevermore, salvation is granted. God made it so simple for us: believe and receive. And once we sincerely believe, we are indwelled with God’s Holy Spirit and are transformed from death to life. Hallelujah!
