Have you ever stopped to consider that there is more than one way to see? We see things with our physical eyes, but we also “see” intellectually and morally. Because people haven’t seen God Himself with their physical eyes, they have a hard time “seeing” Him with their knowledge or with their moral compass. But if they can’t see Him, it’s because they aren’t looking in the right direction. Jesus came to earth as a man. He walked among us. He suffered the same temptations, hurts, fears, sorrows, and joys that we experience, but He remained sinless. Every word He spoke, every deed He performed was intended to point the way to the Father. We cannot get to God except through belief in Christ. When we have encountered Christ, the resurrected Son of God, we have encountered the Father. Our faith allows us to see with our hearts what our physical eyes might not. Please don’t believe the worldly proclamation that there are many paths to God. Only one exists: Jesus Christ. We can only know God as He is made known through belief in His only begotten Son.
