It’s flat out not easy to be a Christian. People will reject you, hurl accusations at you, or ridicule you. But that doesn’t mean we should hush or change our behavior to match the world. Especially in this time when our religious freedoms are being trampled by those who are offended by anything that speaks of Jesus, we need to be bold and stand for what is right. Elsewhere in Acts 4, Peter tells the religious leaders, “Judge for yourself whether it is right in God’s sight to obey you rather than God.” Follow the Spirit’s prompting and rely on His strength, dear Christian, when facing conflict. God will embolden you to speak truth, and He will bless you for honoring Him.
