This verse…this part of the prayer…shatters me in the most beautiful way. When Jesus prayed for those God had given Him, He prayed for every soul who would one day call God Father and Jesus Lord. I made that choice when I was eight years old. So that night in the upper room, Jesus prayed for me. So humbling. So inconceivable. So inspiring. I can’t possibly repay Him for going to the cross to pay for my sins and redeem my soul, but I can show my appreciation by doing my utmost to live in a way that brings glory to Him. May I sincerely sing, “My heart, my strength, my life, my all, are His, and His forever.”
