Sin sometimes happens in a moment of weakness. For instance, we’re tired, impatience gets the best of us, and we say or do something that doesn’t honor God. But sometimes sin is plotted. Temptation strikes. We know it’s wrong, but the pull is strong, and we choose to give in rather than lean on the Holy Spirit and resist. This world is full of temptations. We each have our “issues” that affect us more than others. Knowing our weakness, we need to be intentional in avoiding situations that would entice us to sin. Sin pulls us out of fellowship with God. Sin, when persistently and intentionally chosen, leads to death. Do I want death, or do I want life? Of course I want life! Thus I must resist temptation and avoid dabbling in sin.
