From the inside out

Has someone ever apologized to you for a wrongdoing, then turned around and did the same thing again? Their apology suddenly doesn’t seem so sincere, does it? Saying we’re sorry when we’ve done wrong is the first step; being repentant—turning from that behavior to wiser choices—is the second. God forgives wrongdoing when we ask, but just because He’s a forgiving God doesn’t mean we should take advantage of Him. If we’ve truly been redeemed, then sin won’t sit so easily on our shoulders. We will strive to continually grow in likeness of Him, sinning less. There’s a hymn that starts, “What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought since Jesus came into my heart…” He changes us from the inside out! Let Him show.
