Christ’s death on the cross and His resurrection three days later opened the door to salvation for us. Before He came, we were subject to a law we couldn’t possibly fulfill. Where was the hope? The Hope is Jesus! His sacrifice made it possible for us to stand pure and holy before the Father. He laid down His life for us; thus, we choose to lay down our lives—our selfish will in exchange for His will—for Him. Whatever we do in word, action, and attitude, may we do it for the glory of God every day that we live.
