People make plans; governments make plans. Eventually, as people age and leaders change, plans change. Every manmade plan is temporal. In contrast, the LORD’s plans stand forever. In this simple statement, the psalmist pointed out three key attributes of God: He is omniscient (knows everything), omnipotent (unlimited in power), and is eternal (for all time; no beginning nor any end). We have the choice to follow our own way or follow God’s way. But when our way conflicts with God’s will, our plans will crumble. God’s plans cannot be altered by any individual or power of government. Those plans, made with great love and desire for each of us spend eternity with Him, will reach from generation to generation without waver or compromise. That is why He is our only true source of Security. This world changes; He does not.
