People try all kind of things to fully satisfy themselves. Not all of those things are bad, but whether they are healthy or harmful, they’re still ineffective for permanence. There is only one thing that fully satisfies the human heart: a relationship with God the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ. Until we have Him, we will constantly try to fill ourselves with things that cannot satisfy. And we will constantly fail, which leads to greater emptiness. HE is the only Filler that lasts into eternity. Once we ask Jesus to forgive our sins and invite Him to be our Lord and Savior, we discover the joy of real, deep down satisfaction. The result of this satisfaction should be praise. There is so much for which we can praise Him: for dying for us; for forgiving us; for loving us in spite of ourselves; for strengthening us; for guiding us; for never abandoning us… Need I go on? I’ll start the praise, and you join in: “Praise Him, praise Him, all ye little children, God is love; God is love…”

Hymn day: “I Love to Tell the Story”
HYMN DAY! “I Love to Tell the Story” has a rather unique history. The verses were written by Kate Hankey in 1866 as a poem. In 1869, William G. Fischer added the refrain and put the words to music. I love this hymn partly because my mom loved it so…
