When was the last time you truly rejoiced over God’s promise to send Jesus into this world as the sacrificial lamb who paid your sin debt? Has anyone, ever, no matter how wonderful or sincere the action, done more for you than Jesus? He deserves our praise. And you know what? Praise changes you. It’s true! God inhabits praise, so when we praise His name (for giving us salvation, for being our Strength and Shield, for never leaving or forsaking us), it’s as if we draw Him around us like a cloak. Praise takes our minds off our trouble and puts it on the One who heals and restores. If you’re feeling down today, rejoice in your salvation. Rejoice that this world is not your home and Hope is waiting. Rejoice that He’s coming again. Rejoice! Because HE is our greatest treasure.
