Psalm 91 starts out, “The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust’…” When I look back at my life, there are so many times when people let me down; when I felt alone and defeated. In each of those situations, God met me there. When I lean on Him (instead of trying to fill myself up with things of this world), I am comforted, strengthened, and flooded with a peace only He can give. I know I can trust Him to be there for me when I need Him. And I need Him every hour. There is no greater security than to rest in the shelter of His loving, attentive arms.
