Thomas was allowed to see Jesus for himself. What a blessing, to view the risen Son of God with his own eyes! His proclamation of faith followed. But how do those of us who weren’t living during Jesus’ time on earth come to a place of believing? Maybe someone whose life had been changed by the Gospel shared the good news with you. Maybe the Holy Spirit awakened you to your need of a Savior and you responded. Maybe God revealed Himself to you through something you witnessed in nature or through a miracle. When we know in our hearts that Jesus rose from the dead, that He IS the resurrection and life for all who believe, then we are blessed. We are blessed with His presence, strength, guidance, comfort, and peace while we walk on earth; and we are blessed with His eternal presence when we bid this world goodbye. Matthew 5:6 says, “Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are blessed, for they will be filled.” He responds to every heartfelt plea. If you want His filling, speak His name today, and be blessed.
