I don’t know if you noticed that this week’s images featured sunrises over different settings: a lake, mountains, the rolling prairie, a beach, and an ocean. I wanted to plant pictures of God’s beautiful creation in your mind. God crafted this world in such a way that we would see evidence of Him everywhere we look. Even people who don’t have a personal relationship with God through Jesus will admit there must be a Higher Power that had a hand in putting our world together. Many people hold the misconception that if they simply believe God exists, then they’re secure for eternity. But believing there IS a God is very different from believing IN God. Even the demons believe God exists. They quake in fear of His power and might. But do they know Him as their Father? No. Being able to call God Abba/Father is a privilege for those who have confessed they need a Savior and have asked Jesus to forgive them for their sins. That act of faith allows us to enter into a personal relationship with God. We come to know Him through Jesus.

Paul and Silas, when asked by a jailer what he must do to be saved, said it well: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” Have you believed?
