We are saved from eternal separation from God by proclaiming our faith in Jesus Christ. See Ephesian 2:8-9 for confirmation. If it were up to works, none of us would get into heaven; we could never do enough! But if we truly love Jesus, the things we do and say will be different from those who don’t honor Him. We won’t show favoritism. We won’t point fingers of judgment. We will choose to love rather than condemn. Our conversations will reflect Ephesians 4:29, using wholesome words that build others up instead of tearing them down. We aren’t saved by our works, but our works can certainly let others know that we are saved. If we love Jesus, it’ll show!
