When I was a little girl, television husband-and-wife teams weren’t even shown sleeping in the same bed. There was a moral standard the stations sought to attain. Today, I can’t turn on the TV without cringing (which is why it’s seldom on). The moral standard has all but disappeared. Moral filth and evil is glorified rather than condemned. It makes my heart ache, and if it bothers me, I can’t imagine how much it must hurt the Father, who wants so much more for His children than temporary self-indulgence. Wallowing in the world’s ways might bring momentary fun or excitement, but we are made for eternity. We are made for everlasting joy—a joy that exceeds anything the world can offer. Jesus is the One who saves us, redeems us, and reserves a place in heaven for us. The world shouts one message, but if we proclaim Christianity, our hearts should be tuned to a tender whisper. This world is not our home, so we have no business emulating it. Let’s show the world a better way—the way to everlasting life.

He is holy
