These words, spoken by Jesus, break my heart in all the best ways. When He prayed that day, He prayed for US. Yes, He prayed for His current disciples, but also for me, for you, for every person who had already confessed Him as Messiah and for every person who ever would. Jesus—the sinless, perfect Son of God—even while knowing He would go to the cross and suffer agonies beyond description, took the time to pray for US. Tears well as I write these words. How humbling yet how gratifying to know that in those hours, the Almighty Lord had even undeserving Kim on His mind. Never doubt, dear one: you are loved.
