The Counselor—God’s own Spirit!—descends on the soul that chooses Jesus as Lord. His Spirit is truth; He will not tempt us into sin. His Spirit is peace; He will not stir us to anxiety. His spirit is wise; He will not lead us astray. And as our Counselor, He will prompt us. He will instruct when and how to share God’s love with others. He will advise us in our behavior, in both actions and attitudes. We are never alone because His Spirit is ever-present. How comforting to know we have Him not only with us but WITHIN us!
