Francesca Battistelli sings, “I don’t need my name in lights, I’m famous in my Father’s eyes. Make no mistake–He knows my name.” HE knows MY name. At the age of eight years old, I asked Jesus to forgive my sins and become my Lord. Consequently, my name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. He KNOWS me. And as His sheep, it is my responsibility to know Him. I get to know Him by spending time in His Word. By going to a Bible-teaching church. By spending time with Him in prayer. By deliberately listening for and following His Spirit’s leading. Knowing goes two ways. Oh, the joy of knowing He knows my name! Now to grow to know Him more and more.
