Humility is recognizing we aren’t “all that and a bag of chips.” It isn’t self-criticism but self-awareness. All of us have certain gifts and talents, and God expects us to use those gifts for HIS glory rather than our own. After all, He is our Creator. Why should the prairie grasses brag about their bold gold stems or the sky boast about its delicate blue color? The grass and the sky were created by God…so those tall grasses and covering of blue should point to the One who put them in place. Don’t put yourself down—you are His creation!— but instead let your life point others to the Creator. (Photo by Phoebe Janzen)
