Ambassadors, people who represented one royal court to another, were common during Bible times. As Christ’s ambassadors, we have been commissioned to share the Gospel of Christ and invite others into relationship with Him. We often hear “don’t just talk the talk; walk the walk.” It’s sound advice. But you know, if you walk the walk and never talk the talk, how will people know what makes you different from the world? Jesus set a Godly example in the way He lived, but He made sure people understood why He did what He did—He was about His Father’s business. We have to do both—talk about Him, and live to glorify Him. Then others will be drawn not to us, but to the One who saved us.
