Happily ever after

I love the lyrical language of the King James version, but I also like The Message’s translation: “When I told my story, you responded; train me well in your deep wisdom.” Each of us, regardless of social status, economic status, race, age, or any other qualifier, has a life story that will end in eternal separation from God the Father if we refuses to acknowledge the Son. Scripture is clear—again using MSG: Jesus said, “I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me. (John 14:6)” We each must acknowledge that our story is riddled with sin and also accept the only means of salvation—Jesus Christ. This is the truth, directly from His Word. When we believe it, when we receive, the end of our story becomes a “happily-forever-after.”
