Sin leads to death. Romans 6:23 tells us the wages of sin is death. We’re all dead men walking until that moment we receive Christ as Savior. Then life eternal is guaranteed! Not because of anything we’ve done to earn it, but because God gifts us with righteousness. If Christ is in us, He will show Himself in the way we conduct our lives. I’m grateful for the Spirit’s presence while I remain on this earth, and I’m grateful for the promise of Paradise with Him when my mortal body releases its last breath. As Wednesday’s song proclaimed, “In Christ I have found new life!” And it’s a life never-ending.
