When our clothes become soiled, we don’t just remove them and go on. We put on clean clothes before going on. (Unless we’re toddlers…) Christians should put away sinful practices that do not benefit us. But we need to go a step further and put on Godly practices that reflect our new character in Christ. When our minds are renewed, our actions and attitudes will change. We will adopt the viewpoint of our Savior, seeing with His eyes, reaching with His hands, loving with His heart. The goal: to let others see Jesus in us.
