Jesus consistently tried to help His followers believe that He and the Father were one, but sometimes they struggled with understanding who Jesus is. In John 16:30, His disciples told Him they believed that He came from God. They finally “got it.” That’s an amazing moment for anyone, to recognize that Jesus is the Son of God, sent by God to save humanity from the chains of sin that lead to death. As Fanny Crosby penned in “To God Be the Glory,” the vilest offender who truly believes, that moment from Jesus a pardon receives. Amen and hallelujah!
