Look out…be watchful; be alert; be aware. 1 Peter 5:8 advises, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” While we’re stuck in this world, we will encounter those who would try to do us harm spiritually and otherwise. The evil one wants nothing more than to pull Christians off track. Staying grounded in His Word lets us recognize when something doesn’t ring true. Being fervent in prayer lets us don the armor of God that protects us from spiritual attacks. Evil abounds in this fallen world, but we can stand firm on Him and emerge triumphant over evil. Always remember—in this world there will be trouble, but JESUS has overcome the world!
