This world is hung up on the exterior. Endless products are sold to make us thinner, stronger, prettier. The clothing industry convinces us that their individual brands will make us stand out from the crowd. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to look nice, but where’s the focus on the heart? The mind? The soul? If we’re spit-shined and dressed to the nines on the outside but our hearts are full of malice and evil, what difference does it make? Man looks on the outside, but God sees the heart. That’s the area to which I should give the majority of my focus.
