I understand Peter not wanting to accept what Jesus was telling him about His death. The thought must have been horrifying. Frightening. Unbelievable. Yet it was necessary for man’s redemption. Such a hard, hard road Jesus faced. What if Jesus had chosen not to go through with God’s plan? Think of what it would mean for me today. My own shortsightedness can get in the way and even derail God’s plans. I need to submit to HIS will instead of seeking my own. Even when the way is hard, His path will always be best for me.
